The murder of a housewife

THE news spread like wild fire and the whole village wu thrown into confusion. People were walking here and lhere. Few courageouS men gathered themselves in the open space to discuss what to do. What had happened? A tnown housewife of the village had been murdered. The scene was exactIy two kilometres from the village in a cocoa farm. This was the task of the Police and the Murder Squad of the Criminal Investigations Department, led by Oetective Inspector Ahmed Bruku, were immediately despatched by the C.I.D. Boss to the village.
The village was Tsiwu in the Eastern Region. The arrival of the Police was greeted with wailing and gossiping among the villagers. They were seen leaving for their houses one by one. Shortly, the investigation team called on the Chief of the village who had then summoned his elders to the palace.
