"First edition. This is the story of Majakowski's moving picture of 1918, destroyed by fire in the 1930ies, as recollected by his life-long companion Lilia Brik"--Prospectus. The film was produced by Neptune, directed by Nikandr Turkin from a scenario by Mayakovsky, and starred Mayakovsky, Lili Brik, Margerita Kibalchich, and A. Rebikova. Cf. Kino / Jay Leyda. p. 424.

The Russian title appears on the t.p. in Cyrillic characters.
Caption title: Possessed by film : the story line / from the recollections of Lilja Brik = Zakovannai͡a filʹmoĭ : soderzhanie kartiny / zapisannoe po pami͡ati Lileĭ Brik.
"70 copies and 10 special copies"--P. [19]. According to the prospectus, the special copies have additional text by Vladimir Katani͡an, an original movie still negative, and a morocco binding. Additionally there are 4 copies on English de Wint paper for the printer.
Not included in the page count is the recto of the first title leaf, which is not printed but contains one of the mounted color Xeroxes comprising the illustrations; nor are the 8 transparent overlays, which contain the English translation of the Russian text.
Issued in a 35mm film can together with a copy (16mm., b&w, approx. 15 ft.) of the sole surviving fragment of the film.
