"The third edition of the Test of Understanding in College Economics (TUCE III), like its predecessors (Fels, 1967, Welsh & Fels, 1969, and Saunders, Fels & Welsh, 1981), has two primary objectives: (1) to serve as a measuring instrument for controlled experiments in the teaching of introductory economics at the college level; and (2) to enable instructors of particular introductory courses to compare the performance of their students with that of students in other colleges and universities."
