An edition of The choir invisible (1957)

The living shall praise thee

a novel.

This is a novel, focusing mainly on then members of First Presbyterian Church, Kirksville, MO, where her husband, Frederic Kirchberger, was organist while he was a faculty member in the Music Dept. of Northeast Missouri State University (not Truman State University). Apparently, living people were thinly disguised, with fictional names, but the book created quite a stir among the community. This is based on hearsay from older current church members.
