Edition Notes

First published 1786 under title: Macbeth reconsidered.
Imperfect? Half-title and preliminary leaf wanting?
The "Remarks" are incorrectly ascribed, in the Preface, to William (for Thomas) Whately.
With this is bound Whately's Remarks on some of the characters of Shakspeare. 2d ed. Oxford, 1808.
