The intriguing story of an learning disabled boy who grew up in Suburban New York in the Sixties. This novel depicts Gerald Calderone's intense struggle against formidable existential odds. The events leading up to, and Gerald's attendence at the Woodstock Festival in 1969 have a profound effect on the course of his life, throughout the novel.
Written and base loosely on the the life of Christopher Cole aka Patrick Colucci whose story was the subject of the Dateline special "Back to Woodstock" which aired on NBC on August 9, 2009. Patrick Colucci's story was also mentioned on Good Morning America and World News Tonight with Charles Gibson the subsequent week. How Patrick met Maria at Woodstock, and who has remained his wife of 39 years was also featured on the Australian version of 60 Minutes recently.
