The first ed. was issued in 2 volumes; v. 1 appearing in v. 1 of the Collections of the Maine Historical Society, 1st series, 1831, and also separately, with imprint Portland, Printed by Day, Fraser, 1831; v. 2 in separate form only, with imprint Portland, Charles Day, printers, 1833.

The first 12 chapters of the present ed. (through p. 308) are also found in the 1865 reprint of Collections of the Maine Historical Society, vol.I, 1st series.
