Socialist leadership in India

a tribute to Jaya Prakash Narayan and Rammanohar Lohia

My friend Jyoti Bikash Nath has delineated in this book the political ideas and leadership quality of Jayprakash Narain and Rammonohar Lohia, the two prominent socialist leaders in twentieth century India. They first belonged to the Congress Socialist Party; but in course of time, virtually turned to be less Marxist and more Gandhian. They left some impressions on the political tradition of India; but failed to leave behind any durable legacy to be emulated by the posterity. Sailen Debnath
