On a fishing trip following his high school graduation, Bill Crane and his pal Ducky Davis hooked a whopper. It was a Caterpillar D2 tractor that had been lost through the ice during the previous winter. The two young men salvaged the tractor, and Bill started his own business, using the tractor to uproot trees, grade land, and dig house foundations. One of the best of Meader's books for young adults.
