Our Saviour

the work of our Saviour: past, present, future

There is much confusion among Christians -- ministers and laymen alike -- concerning the past, present, and future work of our Saviour, the Lord Jesus Christ. Many people are not able to rightly divide the Word of Truth in relation to His past work as our Redeemer, His present work as our Saviour and High Priest, and His future work as King of kings and Lord of lords. Christ's work of redemption is threefold, and it is by virtue of His threefold work that believers are saved from the penalty of sin (past), saved daily from the power of sin (present), and will be saved from the very presence of sin (future). There is also much confusion and misunderstanding concerning the resurrections (plural) and the judgments (also plural). It is the aim and hope of the author to clarify at least some of these points, thus helping Christians to reach new depths of understanding of the believer's position in this present world, and at the same time helping the unsaved to catch a clearer vision of the joy and glories of salvation. - Foreword.
