This book provides a detailed anatomy of the horse with the comparative anatomy of the ox, sheep, swine and dog. Sisson was a distinguished anatomist who first taught in Canada and then at The Ohio State University in the United States. He was a very careful observer and virtually all of his descriptions could be used today with supplementation as our knowledge and understanding have improved. The nomenclature was extensively revised in the l950's and 60's; yet it will not, for the most part, be a great difficulty to transpose the terminology. The book is an excellent text.

October 24, 2011 | Edited by 24.17.34.82 | I changed nothing and added only a few remarks describing this book. I was not certain that this edition of Sisson's work contained the anatomy of domestic fowl and therefore have not mentioned this. |
