Structures: Hoing Architekten Strukturen: Hoing Architekten

Wettbewerbe, Brucken, Bauten, Projekte, Design

As the structure becomes apparent, man will realize that he, too, exists as a structure, a part of a greater whole. The structure is designed to make cosmic relationships visible. This process can result in a more profound understanding of the world for every individual.

First Sentence

"CYBERNETIC ARCHITECTURE Architecture is built cybernetics. It is the visible manifestation of regulated processes. Micro and macro structures are subject to the same principles. The optimization of logic and the perfection of proportions (structure = function translated into proportion) allow any structure to be reduced or enlarged at will. Thus, an object can be made to assume any conceivable dimension while remaining true to the same concept. Structurally-organized architecture is created within a cybernetically conceived design process involving many different factors: Functionality - variability - ecological intelligence - sustainability - structural design - communication - behavior patterns - time - spatial sequence - sensibility - affection - logic - sensuality - proportion - beauty - quality - precision - materials - association. Cybernetic Design = Structure"

STRUCTURALISM

The Base

The structure of the office has been designed to accommodate cycles of growth and shrinkage. It is capable of responding flexibly and instantaneously to changing demands arising from any given situation without requiring fundamental changes in the work process. As in nature, there is a solid core or nucleus, a source of continuity; it is the skeleton which supports the superstructure.
The organization of the office has developed and optimized itself over the years in a constant, never-ending process of self improvement (kaizen). By now the structure has become strong, ready to take on greater volume. It is open, responsive to new impulses, flexible and progressive in every respect.
