An edition of True zoo stories (1948)

True zoo stories

Foreward

These really are true zoo stories. All of them happened in the great Bronx Zoo in New York City.

It isn't at all surprising that these and a lot of other animal stories happened, for the Bronx Zoo is the greatest zoo in the world, and its 2,500 animals (of more than a thousand kinds, from all over the world) are always doing interesting things.

There is a little game I sometimes play with children. I say, "Name an animal and I'll tell you a story about it."

These are some of those stories.
