Pioneer Newtons of southwest Texas, and genealogies.

This is a well written local history of southwest Texas as it touches on an extensive early Texas family. Mrs. Clark captures the essence of a frontier culture in Texas as the white immigrants defeated and pushed out the Indian American peoples, including the nomadic plains tribes that inhabited the region, including the Commanches and other native tribes.
