This contains Holinshed's Chronicles of England (from earliest legendary origins up to 1066), his Chronicles of Scotland (from the 'originall of the Scottes nation' to 1571) and his Chronicles of Ireland (from earliest times to 1547). Each section also has a description of the land (topography etc.) and people (origins, habits, costume, etc.) This particular edition is in Gothic black-letter, so a little harder to read than ordinary typeface.

The compilation of the Chronicles was begun by Reyner Wolfe, and completed by Holinshead with the assistance of William Harrison and Richard Stanyhurst.
