Keynes, in his bibliography of John Evelyn, has note: 'Dr Thomas Barlow (1607-1691) is mentioned many times in the Diary and was evidently an old and valued friend. Evelyn first refers to him in connexion with a visit to Oxford in July, 1654, when Barlow, as librarian, shewed him the treasures of the Bodleian' [Keynes 179,'Barlow's Letter']

Wing B834; T.C.I, 366; McAlpin III, p.790; Keynes 179.
