"Anti-caucus candidate for Senator for the Middle District at the ensuing election."
The first letter is addressed to the editors of the Catskill recorder and dated Albany, Feb. 15, 1819; the second is addressed to the editors of the Poughkeepsie republican herald and dated Albany, February 22d, 1819. The letters are accompanied by extracts from other newspapers concerning Southwick's candidacy.
