This book is one of the pre-eminent woodwork and furniture making texts of the twentieth century, aimed primarily at the trade craftsman (and woman) and perhaps one of the dominant texts for the first sixty years or so until Ernest Joyce wrote 'The Technique of Furniture Making' which took over as one of the main reference and teaching texts at the British colleges such as Rycotewood.
