This edition of SAUVIE ISLAND; A Step Back in Time is being published
electronically, 30 years after the original book made its debut. The first
edition had a limited printing of 1,000 copies, was published in 1981, and
has been out-of-print since 1985. This 2011 edition includes all of the
original historical information and photos, along with current photographs
and updated chapters on island events, public lands, recreational
opportunities and farms open to the public.
