First Sentence

"WHEREAS king Charles the Second, by his Letters Parents, under the Great Seal England, for the Confiderations therein mentioned, hath been gracioufly pleafed to Give and Grant unto Me William Penn (by the Name of William Penn Efquire, Son and Heir of Sir William Penn deceafed) and to My Heirs and Affigns forever, All that Tract of Lana or Provence, called Pennfilvania, in America, with divers great Powers, Preheminencies, Royalties, Jurifdictions and Authorities neceffary for the Well-being and Government thereof."
