The Human Beings Are Awoken, You Have Set Them Upright. Body Structure and Conception of Man in Ancient Egyptian Art and the Present Day

This book is almost certainly one of its kind - being a deep and insightful investigation of human body posture based on "Rolfing" Dr. Ida Rolf (1896-1979), but decribed and supported by an esoteric investigation of ancient Egyptian art - specifically the reperesentation of the human being in action, as stsue, relief or even painting.
Much of the authors research is based on german authors such as Frank Teichman or Ken Wilber who in turn based much of their insights on those of the early 20th century philosopher and founder of Anthroposophy' Rudolf Steiner(1861-1925). Brecklingshaus footnotes can be followed by the English reader to some extent but unfotunately the field of relating ancient human development of consciousness to that of the 21st century in a non linear way is not that well documented in this country. Any one with an interest in the arts, human posture, body structure and consciousness will find this a lively read and a treasure trove. Can't comment on the translator skills unfortunately.
