Work Description

Kate needs help - she's got school stuff, applying-for-college stuff, friend stuff, boy stuff, family stuff, and exactly 14 minutes of "Kate time" a week ... There just isn't enough Kate to go around. One night, while using six of her free minutes to clean up her computer desktop, she stumbles on her old SimuLife folder and laughs at the fact that her middle school self was into such lame simulated-life games. But she can't seem to delete the folder, as hard as she tries. Exhausted, she finally gives up and puts her head down... When she wakes up the next morning, she not only has the arrow keys imprinted on her face-she has a double. Her SimuLife avatar, Rina (a nickname for Katerina she, inexplicably, preferred in middle school), has come to life. Once she realizes she hasn't lost her mind, Kate puts Rina to work. Which is all fine and dandy until Rina starts creating a life of her own wreaking havoc on Rina's carefully ordered existence.
