Dr. David Hicks is a British educator. He was formerly Professor in the School of Education at Bath Spa University, UK. He has a particular interest in helping teachers and students understand issues relating to sustainability, hope and climate change.
Hicks served as director of the Centre for Peace Studies at St Martin's College, Lancaster; he was Education Officer for the Minority Rights Group for three years and wrote Minorities: A Teacher's Resource Book for the Multi-ethnic Curriculum. He has written several journal articles on global perspectives and served as co-director of the Schools Council Project World Studies: 8–13 (1980–83).
