Mandira Ghosh has been awarded with Senior Fellowship of the Ministry of Culture, Government of India. The title of her project is, Impact of Famine in Bengali Literature. She has authored eight books titled, Aroma, New Sun, Song in a City, Folk Music of the Himalayas, The Cosmic Dance of Shiva, Shiva and Shakti in Indian Mythology, Cosmic Tour and Tantra, Mantra and Yantra. Presently she is the treasurer of the Poetry Society(India). Through her work, Mandira has tried to arrive at a point where science meets philosophy. She has done experiments of using scientific terms in poetry.
She is a member of Indian Society of Authors, India International Centre, International Society of Poets and International Society of History of Religions.
