Naomi Sayers

Naomi Sayers is a fierce Indigenous feminist, influencer, writer, and educator. An Indigenous lawyer, she is passionate about working with Indigenous communities or organizations with an Indigenous focus. Naomi enjoys using her life experiences to inspire others to make change possible in their world. Naomi is Kwe behind Kwe Today, a blog that is regularly cited around the world. Her work is also used by national and international organizations to influence policy and law reform. She was the only First Nations woman with lived experience to oppose former prime minister Stephen Harper’s bill in response to Canada v Bedford, in which Canada’s highest court held three prostitution provisions as invalid for violating sex workers’ protected Charter rights. Naomi is very grateful to be able to use her lived experiences to advocate for change in the lives of Indigenous sex workers around the world.
