Jim Wallace lived in Norway for a year on a Fullbright, taught school in Kampala, Uganda for three years, and worked in Tokyo teaching English and writing English language textbooks. Later, Jim was senior editor at McGraw-Hill for six years and then acquisitions editor for two years. Jim moved to Vermont in the 1970s and kept up with an eclectic set of hobbies: riding motorcycles, editing books, DJing on the radio, fixing cars, and chainsawing lumber. Jim contributed many hours of friendship, writing, and teaching to our world before he passed away in 2012. source
