Michael Allan Mallory grew up in Minneapolis and graduated from the University of Minnesota with a degree in English Literature. During daylight hours he works with computer and network systems in the Information Technology field. After the sun sets he delves into murkier pursuits, among them studying and teaching wing chun kung fu and practicing Chen style Tai Chi. Chief among his interests is wife Cathy, a delightful companion who is the only other human in the House of Cats, which is populated by an orange tabby who thinks he’s a dog, and a pure bred Maine Coon who thinks he’s a rooster. They live in St. Louis Park.
Death Roll, his debut novel with Marilyn Victor, was published in May 2007 and features the first zoologist sleuth in the person of Lavender “Snake” Jones. When the director of the Minnesota Valley Zoo shows up as a late night snack in the new crocodile exhibit, Snake must use her knowledge of animal behavior to ferret out the identity of the real killer.
Michael is currently working on the second Snake Jones mystery with Marilyn, which is set in Ely and deals with the gray wolf.
