Erika Pani (n. 1969) es doctora en historia (El Colegio de México, 1998), especializada en la historia política del siglo XIX. Ha publicado Para mexicanizar el Segundo Imperio. El imaginario político de los imperialistas (2001), Para pertenecer a la gran familia mexicana. Procesos de naturalización en el siglo XIX (2015), e Historia mínima de Estados Unidos de América (2016). Coordinó, con Guillermo Palacios, El poder y la sangre. Guerra, estado y nación en la década de 1860 (2014).
