Marisol de la Cadena

Profesora de Antropología en la Universidad de California, en Davis. Nacida en Lima (Perú), De la Cadena estudió Antropología en la Pontificia Universidad Católica del Perú antes de efectuar estudios de posgrado en École des Hautes Études en Sciences Sociales (Francia) y la Universidad de Durham (Reino Unido) y realizar su doctorado en Antropología en la Universidad de Wisconsin, en Madison (Estados Unidos). Es autora de Indigenous Mestizos: The Politics of Race and Culture in Cuzco, Peru, 1919-1991 (2000) y coeditora de Indigeneidades contemporáneas: cultura, política y globalización (De la Cadena y Starn 2010). Su libro más reciente, Earth Beings: Ecologies of Practice across Andean Worlds (2015), ha generado mucha reflexión y debate dentro y fuera de la antropología latinoamericana, reforzando su posición como una de las voces más importantes y originales de la antropología contemporánea.
