Hi, I'm Jack Ronayne living in Birmingham , England. I enclose my photograph.
I am still passionately concerned about the death of Lincoln and write to make people realise that much of what any culture understands to be history is in fact heavily based on political necessity and folk legend. A broad picture is the best we can get, as with the brush of an artist.
In the case of Lincoln we have a plot similiar in many ways to that of Kennedy. Both Presidents were targets of the political right and both elevated to greatness by the very people who destroyed them.
Also people should wise up to the media who conform to the dictates of political ownership especially in the mainstream. Of course the point of this is not to rock the boat so that we can all be comforted in the 'safe knowledge' that our cause is always right.
Nevertheless we still allow some of our leaders to commit grevious crimes and pretend we see no evil. I wish to God that our leaders could be strong like Lincoln and Kennedy, tempered with clear thinking wisdom in the face of crisis.
Their sacrifice preserved democracy and freedom but like Jesus they had to be sacrificed to be elevated, by the high priests as an example to the people to whom they both fear and distain.
