Colin Read is the Director of the Institute for Development and Economic Analysis (IDEA) and a Professor of Finance and Economics at the State University of New York College at Plattsburgh. He has a Ph.D. in regional economics and industrial strategy from Queen's University in Kingston, Ontario. He has also earned a B.Sc. in Physics from Simon Fraser University, a Juris Doctor of Law from the University of Connecticut, a Master's of Taxation from the University of Tulsa, a Master's of Science in Economics from Queen's University, and a Master's of Business Administration from the University of Alaska Fairbanks. The University of Alaska Fairbanks conferred upon Dr. Read the honor of Professor Emeritus of Economics. He is the former dean of the School of Business and Economics at the State University of New York College at Plattsburgh, and serves on three corporate boards.[http://www.economicinsights.net]
