The Philly Free School were a multi-media artists co-op active out of Philadelphia in the Aughts, founded by Adam Fieled, Mike Land, Jeremy Eric Tenenbaum, and Nick Gruberg. Many of their multi-media performances were held at the Highwire Gallery, between Broad and 13th on Cherry Street in Center City Philadelphia. Poetry Incarnation '05 was held at the Khyber Pass in Olde City on July 5, 2005. By metonymic connection, many Aughts Philadelphia artists associated with Neo-Romanticism also fall under the aegis of the Philly Free School. The literary journal P.F.S. Post (Philly Free School Post), established in October 2005, is an offshoot of the Philly Free School, and is still operative as of 2023. The poetry reading series P.F.S. Presents is a Philly Free School offshoot as well.
