In every human heart there is a religion and a god. The cynic, the proud, may believe only in himself but, regardless, it is faith and it becomes his religion. The other extreme is the man who, ignorantly and superstitiously, worships every god he hears about, fearful of offending if even one should be overlooked.
Through the ages man has not changed. Haughtiness of heart prompted God to say long ago:
