The Pongo papers

and The duke of Berwick

A collection of nonsense verses. "The Pongo Papers" are light-hearted social criticism in the form of a fictional paper war between the "Belgian Hare" (a pen name of Douglas) and the pompous "Professor Pongo". "The Duke of Berwick" concerns a highly moral nobleman based on a minor character in The Picture of Dorian Gray.
