Zeisberger's Grammar of the language of the Lenni Lenâpé, ed. in the Transactions of the American philos. soc. 1827, and his English-German-Onondaga-Delaware dictionary, edited by Prof. E. N. Horsford under title "Zeisberger's Indian dictionary" [etc.] Cambridge, Mass., 1887, together with his printed "Delaware spelling book," Philadelphia, 1806, were the chief sources from which the later missionaries drew their knowledge of the Lenâpé dialect. cf.
