"The life of William Drummond": p. i-xi.
Edited by Bishop Sage and Thomas Ruddiman.
The collation given by L.E. Kastner in his edition of Drummond's Poetical works, 1913 (v. 1, p. 86-88) lists only one portrait, and that as "inserted." The frontispiece in the L.C. copy is a large portrait, with arms below, and inscription: William Drummond of Hawthornden, born j585, dyed j649. The second portrait, preceding the life, is small, with name and dates around the oval, the dates written J585 and J649.
The History has special t.p: the poems have special t.p. and separate paging.
Fisher copy 1: With the armorial bookplate of the Earl of Moira [Franks 24602].
Fisher copy 2: Pages xxi-xliv bound after p. xlv; one port. wanting. With the stamp of the Faculty of Procurators in Glasgow on the upper cover, and the autograph of Anne, Lady Gordon of Earlston on t.p.
