Warning of the dangers of nicotine

Warning of the danges of nicotine as a "most deadly poison," Dr. Shew traces its history and uses. "A single drop of nicotine include sanity, apoplexy, hypochondriaisis, palsy, neuralgia, loss of memory, and... cancer, of which Shew says, "Of this there is the strongest proof, and medical men everywhere agreed to this point." NUC also records another Shew item, with identical collation and almost identical title, printed in 1836. NUC 0504271 [2]. Not in Sabin, Eberstadt, Decker
