Edition Notes
Running title: Letters of P. Clement XIV.
The genuineness of the collection has been questioned by several authorities (Lowndes, Barbier, Vacant de Mangenot, etc.) the authorship being attributed to L.A. de Caraccioli. That it is in substance a genuine collection, though some of the letters are spurious, is affirmed by Alfred von Raimont in his "Ganganelli ... seine und seine Zeit. 1847." - L.C. Cf. Enc. Brit.
RBSC copy: Plates wanting.
