The text is based upon the quarto edition of 1587-88, of which only two copies are known to exist, and includes reproduction of t.-p. of the copy in the British Museum: Certaine de- u

The entire body of the drama was written by Thomas Hughes, the introduction by Nicholas Trotte, the chorus for the first and second acts by Francis Flower, the dumb shows were partly devised by Christopher Yelverton, Francis Bacon, John Lancaster, and others, partly by F. Flower; William Fulbecke contributed two speeches. cf. p. [53]-59.
