A translation of the first part of the author's Historia general de las Indias, Saragossa, 1552-53.

Apparently the same, except for the change in the name of the publisher, as the edition published at Venice in 1560 by Francesco Lorenzini da Turino. cf. Sabin, Bibl. amer., v. 7, no. 27,738. The printer's mark on t.-p. is the same as that which appears on the title-pages of several other works published by Lorenzini the same year.

The first Italian translation of this work was published in Rome in 1556.

This volume is called "Parte seconda" because it is the second volume in a series of Italian translations by Cravaliz, the first being a history of Peru by Pedro de Cieza de León. Cf. Sabin.
