Walk in the Paradise Garden is set on Chrysolaki, a Greek island where dark and ancient superstitions lie just below the sun-drenched surface. Justine Charles comes to the island with Louis d'Arrancourt, in order to get to know him better and to meet his older sister. However, once on the island, Justine becomes engrossed in the life of a strange young girl, a mute whose only gifts seem to be an angelic beauty and an uncanny ability to project shadow pictures on the wall. An exciting plot develops and draws Justine into conflict with the villagers, into great physical danger, and into passions for which she is not prepared.
