Barbier, A.A. Ouvrages anonymes, v. 1, col. 1004
Cioranescu, A. 18. s., 60149
Published anonymously. By J.-M.-A. Servan. Cf. Barbier.
The parties to the case before the Parlement of Grenoble were Louis-Charles La Baume, Count of Suze and of Rochefort, and Marie-Louise Bon. Cf. Bull. de L'Acad. delphinale, 4th ser., v. 18, p. [43]-170. Servan's discourse is in defence of the count. In the midst of the trial he withdrew from the case and read no more of his discourse, which is here printed in full. Cf. Avant-propos.
