Sir, In consequence of the above resolution, I am to inform you that it is the desire of the Board of Treasury, that you forthwith transmit them the state of your accounts ... Signed: John Gibson, auditor-general. To [blank] Esq; commissioner of the Loan-Office for the state of [blank].
LC copy recto has been completed in ink as follows: To Joseph Clarke, Esq; commissioner of the Loan-Office for the state of Road Island [sic]. Annotated on verso: To Joseph Clarke Esqr, commissioner of the Loan Office for the state of Rhode Island & Providence Plantations to the care of the Honorable Nicholas Cooke Esqr, governor of the said state. Providence. Annotated in another hand: From John Gibson Esqr. March 25th 1777.
