This book details the lives of two tragic, though less well-known, figures in British history: Henry Howard, Earl of Surrey, and Lady Katherine Grey, the younger sister of the famous nine-day-queen, Lady Jane Grey. Surrey and Lady Katherine were remarkably similar personalities, whose self-destructiveness and inability to understand the consequences of their actions would ultimately betray them to their deaths.
