An excellent and readable account of Betancourt's release after some years in captivity by FRAC in Colombia. Forunately Lunel had been researching for a book on the captivity and had a lot of the material available when Lo! she was free! so he only had to write some extra marterial to make it a really good and very well informed read. Happily it is written in a lively and interesting French style rather than the very stilted and flowery French that you often see.
