This material is designed to develop higher reading skills for students in junior and senior high schools who are not at grade level in reading. They are written so that students with a third grade reading level can use them independently. The workbooks consists of a short story, and exercises that test the student's comprehension of the story, recall of details, and knowledge of vocabulary. A final evaluation consists of true-false, completion, and multiple choice tests. In addition to reading, the material develop language art skills in expressive writing. Content is based on relevant subjects for junior and senior high students
