A reimpression of the 1681 edition published in Madrid, Por Iulian de Paredes. Originally published: Madrid, Por la viuda de Iuan Gonçalez, 1636.
Signatures: A-Cc⁴ Dd⁶.
Royal arms engraved on t.p. with legend: Plus ultra. Engraving signed: Pau[lu]s Minguet, fec[i]t M[adrid] 1747. Decorative frame differs from that in original edition.
Title and text printed within double ruled borders.
Woodcut initials, tail piece.
"Indice de los autos, acuerdos, y decretos de govierno del Consejo Real de las Indias," [12] p. at end.
LC Copy 2 has certificates of authenticity in ms., mounted at end, bearing the stamps of the Ministerio de Gracia y Justicia and of the Legation of the United States of America [in] Spain. The latter includes the autograph signature of American envoy extraordinary Daniel M. Barringer. Acquired by transfer in 1925.
