Official papers relate to the War of 1812, the Second Seminole War, and Mexican Wars; and to Jesup's service as U.S. Army quartermaster general. Includes letterbook (1834-1835) of J.F. Lane and correspondence, household accounts, and genealogical records of the Blair and Croghan families. Correspondence is largely drafts of communications of Jesup and his military associates including John Armstrong, Robert Brent, Jacob Brown, Lewis Cass, Leslie Chase, Truman Cross, John Lane Gardner, George Hancock, A.R. Hetzel, Henry Leavenworth, Daniel Parker, J.C. Pickett, Henry Stanton, and John G. Todd.
