Would Alan ever learn to love her?

Bridget Mayhew didn't come back from Canada just to use her home economics skills to organize the Tracey family parties. She thought that Alan Tracey might have changed his feelings toward her. Alan had always regarded Bridget fondly, but as a younger sister.

After a year and a half Bridget found Alan was still incredible attracted to the beautiful young actress Cheryl Elliott. Cheryl monopolized all of Alan's time and thoughts.

When Bridget learned that Alan was leaving for London with Cheryl, she was crushed. It seemed that there was nothing she could do to stop him. Or was there?
