Edition Notes
Holograph, signed.
Lucia Weston gives the latest news. Maria Weston Chapman wrote a letter to Jonathan Phillips asking for money to publish Mrs. Follen's book. "In the evening [Oliver] Johnson called." Lucia went to a meeting and heard William Lloyd Garrison speak. A Captain Fullerton, an Englishman from Jamaica, introduced himself to Garrison. Lucia goes on to tell of the people who visited the Westons after the meeting. Ninety dollars was collected at the meeting; and she tells how much was sent in by agents. Lucia thinks that Henry G. Chapman will go to New York.
